Santa Claus arrives in Salem, Mass 2009

Tonight Santa Claus arrived in style atop the back of the Hawthorne Hotel. There was also a caroling/sing along. Songs were pretty much the norm. Here Comes Santa Claus, Santa Claus is Coming to town, etc.

Not a bad crowd gathered on the Salem Commmon which is facing the back of the Hawthorne Hotel. Santa came down via the fire engine's latter truck. The weather was calm but a little cool. Dad and I dressed warm. Me in two pairs of pants and my orange sweatshirt and jacket, hat and gloves. Dad dressed like ships Captain.

Fun was had by all. Later there was to be a tree lighting ceremony, but Dad and I decided it was too cold to go.

We came home and had tea and BA's cookies.
