Sad Saturday

This morning was pretty normal. I had my breakfast, dressed, etc.

About Noon I turned on the TV to see if there was any coverage on Pres. Ford. I watch the departure from California to the Arrival in Washington. So far things looked like they were going to schedule that was posted on the Gerald R Ford Memorial.com website. That is until they got to Washington. I don't know if anyone noticed, I think a newsperson did say something of a small delay.

Dad and I ate a little earlier so I could catch the arrival in Washington. Mrs Ford seemed to be holding up well.

I trust you did see who almost stoled the show? Former Congressmen from Mich, Former Rep. William Broomfield, 84. When asked by a passerby, Sen Frist, a doctor nodded yes. And said it was exhaustion and heat. Sen. Frist was also there when Former Prime Minister of GB Thatcher wanted to go to Reagan's Funeral he said he would look after her.

It is 11:21 on the East Coast and I have C-Span on. From what I see, considering the time there is a pretty good turnout for the first night of repose.

Tues is the Services in Washington, then they go to Grand Rapids, Mich for Wednesdays Services and Laying To Rest.

That leaves as of now 3 Former Presidents, Carter, Bush 41, Clinton.

I will do a little search to see how many Presidents and Former Presidents there were living throughout my lifefetime. I was born in 1967 so figure who was living then? That should get you thinking of all the presidents that have been around. I will post it here.
