My weekend so far

Sorry I haven't written lately, but nothing much to say. Although the last couple of days has been interesting. Dad and the choir he belongs to is doing its Holiday concerts. I do not go to the winter ones, but I do go to the spring concert. They usually do an adaptation of a broadway musical or a variety of broadway or theatre songs. I cannot believe Christmas is just around the corner. I still remember last years Christmas. Dad and I and my brother and his wife and little one were at my brother's inlaws. I know because I have the pictures to prove it. I didnt use one tonight but I will when I post again.

This year we will all be in Salem, God willing. That should be nice.

Sad news to report, Richard Pryor is dead. Not much of his stuff I liked, but a movie he did with Gene Wilder cracks me up. The one in which Gene pretends to be black. Can't remember the name of it off hand, but I am sure one of you do know which one I am speaking of.

This is a good year for tv holiday specials, especially if you have Hallmark Ch., which we just got this summer,Yeah! I have seen some somewhat old ones and some newer ones. Like Once Upon a Christmas and its sequel, Twice Upon a Christmas with John Dye(Touched By an Angel fame) and Jill Ireland.The first was put out in 2000 and the other 2001. I never saw them before. Not bad. and Angel in the Family with Ronny Cox and Meredith Baxter(family Ties fame)put out in 2004.

I am just waiting for some more specials that are yearly like,Christmas in Washington Concert.
